Educational Resources
Because lupus is severely underdiagnosed, particularly in members of certain at-risk populations, the Lupus Initiative is pleased to provide you with tools to help diagnose and treat your patients.
Since lupus symptoms vary greatly from patient to patient, the following tools are available by specialty in the areas of OB/GYN, dermatology, emergency medicine, and primary care (internal medicine):
- Clinical case studies
- Journal articles about lupus (click here for a list)
Materials for your patients are also available, including:
- A DVD from patients' perspectives about lupus awareness, education, and the importance of being active in their lupus treatment (coming soon)
- Symptom checklist and dialogue tool to promote a healthy conversation between patient and healthcare professional (download them here)
- Lupus awareness posters (download them here)

- You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these documents
